East Midlands Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club


Open Show Saturday 24th April 2010



I would like to express my thanks to the officers and committee of the EMSBTC for the opportunity to judge this Open Show and to thank the stewards, Linda Lee and Zoe Martin for all their hard work on the day. May I also thank all the exhibitors who made the day a very enjoyable one.





1st Class Minor Puppy Dog Entries 3 Absentees 0

1st Manark Predator

Lovely balanced black dog with a lovely coat, good skull, top line and movement ok.

2nd Little Beau Geste

Unfortunately up against tough opposition, still a nice and tidy dog with a good top line and moved well.

3rd Elite Cyclone


2nd Class Puppy Dog (5) (1)

1st Blazinstaff Light My Fire

What a cracking dog he is, red and white with good skull, well balanced, with good bone and one for the future. Went on to become best puppy in show.

2nd Toffeestaff Hoggy Dog At Donmarlyn

A nice black and white dog with nice eyes and good pigmentation throughout. Moved well and once again just pipped by first.

3rd Crossguns Fredastaire


3rd Class Junior Dog (6) (1)

1st Rowellstaff Mr Ferguson

Another dog with good pigmentation, good mover, good skull and ears. Also good front.

2nd Funk Odyssey

Had all the attributes of the first dog but not quite the same skull.

3rd Javawolf Mighty Mouse

1st Lordstaff Sir Germaine

A lovely black dog with excellent skull, ears, front and hind quarters. Very fit and movement ok. Very well handled. Went on to become B O B.

1st Alport Fire Chief

Very difficult dog to handle but I did manage to get a look at him, good skull, pigmentation, lovely coat and a well balanced dog. Movement ok.

2nd Jamiliah Man Otha Monsell

Lovely red and white dog who was handled very well. A good mover who was sound throughout and had a good front.


7th Class Undergraduate Dog (3) (0)

1st Izumis Cotton Eye Joe

Another nice dog who had a cracking front on him, who moved well and had a lovely coat and colour. Very well balanced in all departments.

2nd Merimna Ahead Inline

Another dog just pipped by the first, good skull, level top line and good hind quarters. Movement ok.

3rd Javawolf Mighty Mouse


8th Class Graduate Dog (7) (3)

1st Trampoline Tommy

A very fit dog with excellent ears and a lovely black coat. Good pigmentation with good eyes, movement ok and a balanced dog. Went on to become reserve best dog and reserve best in show.

9th Class Limit Dog (5) (1)


1st Valglo Say Wot

A lovely dog with a nice coat showing off his colour of black brindle and white. He moved very well, had a good skull with ear carriage to match. A nice closely coupled dog.

2nd Pottersway Crafty Potter

Another lovely dog who was closely pipped by the first. Had all the attributes of the first dog except fitness but still a lovely fellow to go over.

1st Hammystaff Heaven Sent

A lovely, very strong, red and white dog, moved with power from front to back. Good front, hind quarters, skull and ears. A little bit overweight.

2nd Vale Of Bryrhys

Another very strong dog who was unlucky to come second, very fit with good skull and pigmentation throughout. Movement and top line ok.

3rd Jajca Phoenix From The Flame

11th Class Fred Ward Special Open (Br/Br & White) (3) (1)


1st Izumis Cotton Eye Joe

A nice compact brindle and white dog, very well handled, a credit to its owner.

2nd Niatona The Boy Wonder

A black brindle dog, gave too much away to the first but still a good mover and well handled.

13th Class Veteran (3) (1)

1st Pottersway Bold As Brass

A nice, short, well coupled dog, with a lovely coat. Despite his age, still moved with power and a pleasure to go over. Went on to become best veteran in show.

2nd Bethane Thorin

This dog had a good coat and was fit for its age. Had a good skull and expression. Another one a pleasure to go over. Movement ok.







14th Class Minor Puppy Bitch (4) (1)

1st Sebsonic Seren Fach At Megastelle

What a lovely puppy bitch to go over. Predominantly black with a good coat, good skull, ears, closely coupled with very good feet. Lovely dark eyes with good pigmentation, moved and handled very well. Stood like a trouper. One for the future. Went on to become best puppy bitch and best bitch in show.

2nd Florentina Jewel

Another nice bitch who was handled and moved well, Had a good top line and as the first was closely coupled. Another one to watch.

3rd Macadermus Shanawana Donmarlyn


15th Class Puppy Bitch (4) (1)

1st Jajca’s Sweet Dream

Another all round balanced puppy bitch, neat ears, good skull with a lovely black coat. Nicely coupled, good mover with neat feet.

2nd Oilgarth Wee Eileen

Another predominately black bitch who was a bit unlucky on the day. It was a close call between first and second. Good skull, good ear carriage, movement and top line ok.Well handled.

3rd Denagar San Fransisco

1st Sunnystone Party Girl At Tonpay

A lovely black and white bitch who was extremely fit and muscular with good front and hind quarters. Lovely feminine skull with an excellent coat and good movement.

2nd Spinjack Mistletoe Magic

Another lovely black and white bitch who had many of the attributes of the first and was very well handled and yet another one with dark eyes and excellent pigmentation throughout.

1st Hammystaff Haniel

A red and white bitch with a good front, one of the fittest dogs seen on the day who moved with drive and had a feminine skull. A good top line and a pleasure to go over. Very well handled.

2nd Ramblestaff Jorja On My Mind

Another predominately black bitch who looked very feminine, was closely coupled. Very neat skull and ears. Movement ok.

3rd Super Sonic Sasha

Red and white with a lovely coat, handled well, feminine and a pleasure to go over.


19th Class Novice Bitch (3) (1)

A nice red and white bitch with a good front and closely coupled. Feminine with a nice skull and movement ok.

1st Temkade Destiny’s Child

A lovely black brindle feminine bitch with an excellent coat, good skull and ears, exceptional front and good feet. Moved and handled very well. Went on to become reserve best bitch.

1st Beraka Summer At Denagar

A lovely red lady to go over, with a lovely coat and feminine skull. Level top line and handled well.


23rd Class Open Bitch (5) (3)

1st Alcnik Rosa Parks

Another black bitch who is very tidy, close coupled. Had a feminine skull and neat ear carriage. Moved and handled very well.

2nd Wyrefare Lili Marlene

A red and white bitch, very strong and athletic type. She had a good skull and ears and her movement was ok. She was very well handled.

24th Class Fred Ward Special Open (Br/Br & White) (3) (1)

1st Alcnik Rosa Bitch

2nd Kylestaff Saltwater

A lovely brindle bitch who was very feminine and was in good condition. Her movement was ok and she was a pleasure to go over.


25th Class John Monks Special Open (Fawn/Fawn & White) (2) (1)

1st Super Sonic Sasha

A lovely feminine bitch with nice eyes, ears and coat. A pleasure to go over.

26th Class Veteran (5) (4)
1st Calrolo Red Moonbeam

A very slim red bitch who despite her age still looked very feminine and stood like a trouper. I bet the owner had some fun with her in earlier years. Still a pleasure to look at and deserved the first prize.
